At a time when much of the heritage fabric of Christchurch has been lost, the decision by the Christchurch Girls' High School Board to retain the earthquake damaged 'Old House' on its Acland Boarding House site will be welcome news for heritage observers and the wider community.
With earthquake damage to, and closure of, a number of its key boarding and administrative buildings on the Acland site the Board recognised the opportunity to take stock of its strategic, business, property and development options. A rigorous development planning process managed by Signal has resulted in the establishment of a master plan which will guide and shape the future sustainable development of the site.
